Headteacher's Welcome
Welcome. As Headteacher, I am extremely proud and honoured to lead our outstanding school and it is my pleasure to introduce you to The Piggott School.
At The Piggott School, we are committed to providing a learning environment that celebrates the uniqueness of individuals, whilst securing a collective sense of community and pride in all that we achieve together. Rooted in high aspirations for all its learners, the vision and values that are the bedrock of our school provide a safe environment for everyone to learn, grow and flourish in all aspects of life.
Our broad and ambitious curriculum offers academic challenge, personal development, and enrichment for every child, whatever their starting point. First class teaching and learning in our school has led to consistently outstanding academic outcomes for all learners. We remain determined to continue to grow as a learning community and offer even more opportunity for all our students.
As a Church of England School, our Christian vision permeates every aspect of school life. Our vision and values provide a foundation for the culture and ethos in our school. We learn from Jesus, our teacher, reflecting on the messages of the Good Samaritan parable and take forward the love, compassion, and charity that we can show to others. We want our school community to reflect this learning, to promote and model unconditional love (agape), and ‘Go and do likewise’.
The Piggott School is a place where we listen to each other, our voices are heard, we celebrate diversity, and we take pride in the promotion of inclusion. Our staff recognise each child as an individual; with their own gifts and talents; their own needs and their own aspirations. The pastoral care and guidance offered at The Piggott School by our outstanding staff ensures a strong partnership with our students and their families that successfully helps all our young people to become whatever, and whoever, they wish to be.
I warmly invite you to visit our school so that you can see our community at work.
